Potential Co-PIs and past awardees are strongly encouraged to attend.For more information on the Collaboration Initiative, including the RFA, go to University of Nebraska Collaboration Initiative website. Seed grant funding will be competitively awarded to multi-campus collaborations with the expectation that the work will lead to future federal funding. Proposal topics should 1) fit the objectives of a federal funding agency's grant program portfolio, or 2) match an identified NSRI priority topic, and 3) directly align with the NU Strategic Plan and Campus/College/Department/Center Operational Strategic Initiatives. Awards, up to $100,000, will be for one year. Funding levels will be proportional to the potential award amounts available from the targeted federal funding opportunity.
The meeting is a working event. The featured keynote will address current issues in artificial intelligence for research. Morning sessions will seek faculty input on federal research growth opportunities in the topic areas listed below. This information will help guide NU's strategic priorities designed to rapidly increase our federal research portfolio. The afternoon sessions include special sessions on Practical Uses of AI in Research and an Open Q&A Session on the RFA & Strategic Initiatives. Attendees may also use the afternoon session time as an opportunity for you and your colleagues to do some preliminary proposal writing in response to the RFA.[All grant funding is awarded with the expectation that it be used to improve competitiveness for a future federal grant. We try to facilitate research collaboration by creating rooms that cluster researchers interested in addressing specific topics.]
