Evaluation criteria for the award include, but are not limited to:

Outstanding accomplishments that go above and beyond job and performance expectations. This may be reflected in the contribution of an idea or action that is both exceptional and exemplary.
Actions that support the values of leadership, innovation, initiative, and/or cost-effectiveness. This may be reflected in exceptional leadership in a crisis or suggesting improvements to a work process that enhances efficiency or saves money for Research and Innovation and the university.
Exceptional service provided to clients or the university. This may be reflected in the assistance provided to a co-worker or client that goes beyond the requirements of the job description.

The employee's contributions must clearly stand out as exceptional, set a positive example for others, and benefit Research and Innovation, and UNL.
